Destroyer: Guardians of Life may live in the realm of fantasy, but its roots are deeply personal. The first five chapters weren’t simply written—they were remembered.
The strength of Eva was inspired by the quiet resilience of the women in my life, especially my grandmother, who used to speak of the willow tree—a symbol of strength and sorrow. James, a simple farmer, just wants peace, but is pulled into something far greater than himself. He’s afraid, reluctant, and uncertain… and yet, somehow, he begins to rise.
These characters—and this world—were born from imagination, but shaped by memory, emotion, and experience. From abandoned buildings in the Bronx that became magical playgrounds to childhood friendships that still live in my heart, the story carries pieces of my life.
